Pants Optional
Get up, get showered, get dressed and hop in the car. With Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” playing on repeat in your head, you grab the nearest muffin (or leftover pizza slice) and run. Like a real life version of Frogger, maneuvering through rush hour traffic proves to be a challenge, all while preserving the cleanliness of your clothing—don’t spill that coffee! Finally, you roll into the office and plop down at your desk. How is it only 9:00am? You’ve already run a marathon. If you have kids, you’ve run three.

Renting Vs. Buying: Why Renting is a Sound and Smart Decision
For many years, it’s been the American Dream to buy a home. Recently, due to economic changes, generational changes and a smaller, more connected world, that dream is ever-changing. Now, it seems that convenience, ease of life, sustainability, and living small are increasingly becoming the new normal.

Social Distancing
It’s not a matter of if the novel Coronavirus will continue to spread, but when. As you’re well aware by now, in an effort to “flatten the curve”, the CDC has recommended that we all stay in and practice social distancing.

During this unsettling time, I’d like to assure you that providing a healthy environment for our residents and employees is our top priority at Steven Scott.

Your Career is a Jungle Gym…Not a Ladder
In 2013, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg brought the concept of the Jungle Gym to our mainstream vernacular through her bestselling book, Lean In. The jungle gym, as opposed to a ladder, refers to how a person should regard his or her career. Instead of moving up a narrow path at every given opportunity, one should move over, up, diagonally, and even back a few steps in order to eventually move up. A jungle gym allows a person to stretch, grow, explore and adapt—all things that will help a person be the most equipped for every new venture.

How to Make and Keep a New Year’s Resolution

Building And Giving Back To The Community
“We created and implemented the ‘Steven Scott Community Builder.’ This program supports our apartment managers by offering a variety of ways for our renters to engage with each other and their neighborhood,” Bader says. “For example, our communities regularly participate in community blood drives with the Red Cross and make and serve food for families at the Ronald McDonald House.”
By Kassidy Tarala, Lavendar Magazine
